it didn’t matter it was make-believe
it didn’t matter that 50 people were around
falling in love on command can be hard
but with him it was flawless

i wanted to kiss him
me the actress
and me the character
so when the lights were turned off
the movie hallway dark
we kissed, took off clothes
and it didn’t matter
the outside world stopped existing
it was us in our
make-believe-real space
make-believe-real falling in love
there was no mistaking the lust
even on camera

the movie finished
and the pho-romance finished
i don’t even think of him
except when i see that movie
even after all this time
i wish i could be back on that set
make-believe-real falling in love
